What is it?
The Great Pentlands Push is a cross country trek taking place in the beautiful wilderness of the Pentland Hills, just 12 miles from the centre of Edinburgh.
It is the ultimate team experience suitable for everyone with a choice of three distances:
- 26-mile Marathon Gold Route
- 18-mile Silver Route
- 13-mile Bronze Route
New routes are being planned for 2014 and will be announced soon. There are water stops and checkpoints on each route offering hot food, energy drinks, snacks and plenty of pampering to soothe those aching joints. The event culminates in a scrumptious meal, entertainment and some well deserved drinks.
The minimum age per Push participant is 16 years old. 16 to 18 year olds must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The Pentland Hills are to be underestimated at your peril. It takes a lot of determination and teamwork to tackle the beautiful rolling hills under 14 hours, but the sense of achievement when you reach the Hub will stay with you for a long time.
The Great Pentlands Push inspires all who take part and helps to ensure St Columba’s can provide first class care to the people who need it most in the Edinburgh and the Lothians communities. By taking part you will help us make every minute count for our patients, their families and friends.
